* PRESS RELEASE * 6th Annual Easter Dinner

The Venango County Democratic Party, in collaboration with the Venango-Clarion Chapter of the NWPA Area Labor Federation, will deliver Easter dinners to area residents on Easter Sunday.

“After the overwhelming response to our previous Easter and Christmas dinners, we knew this was a tradition worth continuing,” said John Kluck, Chairman of the Venango Democrats. “We’re proud to partner with the Venango-Clarion-Warren-Forest Chapter of the NWPA Area Labor Federation to keep this effort going.”

Deliveries will begin at 11:00 AM on Sunday, April 5. Each ready-to-eat meal will be served in an environmentally friendly, reusable, microwave-safe container and will include ham, au gratin potatoes, a vegetable, a fresh-baked roll, and an Easter treat. Additionally, individuals seeking company on Easter are invited to join in person at 237 Seneca Street, Oil City, for a communal dinner beginning at 1:00 PM.

These meals are primarily intended for Venango County residents who are elderly, homebound, living in elderly or disabled housing units, or spending Easter alone. “While our focus is on those who are unable to prepare a meal themselves, meals are available to anyone who would like one,” Kluck added.

Reservations for the meals can be made through Good Friday by visiting the Venango Democrats website at www.VenangoDems.org or by calling (814) 657-3108 and leaving a message.

This initiative is made possible through the generosity of Venango County Democratic Party members, the Venango-Clarion-Waren-Forest Chapter of the NWPA Area Labor Federation, and the support of the community. Those interested in contributing—whether by assisting with meal deliveries, helping to fill Easter eggs with treats, or making a donation—are encouraged to contact Kluck at (814) 657-3108.

Their support has been essential in helping bring comfort and joy to families throughout Venango County during these special holidays.

Together, we have prepared and distributed more than 3,500 meals across Venango County over the past six years—an incredible example of what can be accomplished through community spirit and cooperation. We are deeply appreciative of the many volunteers who donated their time to package and deliver meals, made financial contributions, and baked cookies to share with our neighbors. Their generosity and dedication have made a meaningful difference in the lives of many throughout our community.
