You must be a registered voter to submit an application. You may check whether you are registered to vote in Pennsylvania using https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/pages/voterregistrationstatus.aspx
Please note, if you plan to vote using an absentee or mail-in ballot in the 2020 GENERAL PRIMARY held on 04/28/2020, your completed application must be received in the county office by 5:00 PM on 04/21/2020. The County Election Office will then mail you a ballot once the official ballot is confirmed. The deadline to return your voted absentee or mail-in ballot is 8:00 PM on 04/28/2020.
- If you’re a voter with a valid PA Driver’s License or PennDOT ID number, you may apply with the online form.
- If you do not have one of these ID numbers, you will need to download a paper application and mail it to your County Board of Elections. Otherwise, you may visit your local county elections office.
- For an absentee application, download the https://www.votespa.com/Voting-in-PA/Documents/Absentee_Ballot_Application.pdf
- For a mail-in ballot application, download the https://www.votespa.com/Register-to-Vote/Documents/PADOS_MailInApplication.pdf

If you are not registered, or want to make changes to your registration, you have until April 13th! Our primary election is April 28th, and Pennsylvania is a closed primary state – meaning you can only vote for candidates in your party!
